Last saturday, we concluded a short course for the Industrial Biotechnology students as a collaborative effort between two Amgen and Abbott teams. It was one of the best industrial experiences provided to our students. The quality of the teaching resources, the opportunity of technically guided tours of state of the art biotech manufacturing facilities, the exposure to mammalian and microbial biomanufacturing technologies, and the computer simulations especially prepared by both company teams for our students make us feel privileged to have that level of commitment towards our education. Although I have already expressed my gratitude to the people that allocated all of their time, including saturdays to make this possible, it was without doubt the leadership of both of you that made an idea that emerged during our last industrial advisory board meeting a model of what collaboration is all about. Our program is enriched by strategic partners like yours. My deepest thanks,
Rosa
